هدف المجلة

تهدف المجلة العربية لعلوم وهندسة الحاسوب إلى توفير منتدى لتبادل الأفكار والآراء ونتائج الأبحاث بين العلماء والباحثين والمدرسين والممارسين في حقل علوم الحاسوب والذين يرغبون في استخدام اللغة العربية كوسيط للتواصل. وستعمل المجلة على استخدام وتطوير معجم من المصطلحات والتعبيرات العربية التي تشكل انعكاساً لما يجد في حقل الحوسبة ومواكبة اللغة العربية لذلك، ولتحافظ على مواءمتها كوسيط للتواصل العلمي والتقني. وبصورة عامة، فإن المجلة ترمي إلى تأسيس تقليد من الكتابة العلمية العربية في نفس الوقت الذي تحاول فيه خدمة قرائها العرب من خلال إبقائهم على معرفة بآخر المستجدات في حقل الحوسبة ومن خلال الإسهام في تنمية مجتمع معرفي عربي

ولتحقيق رسالتها، فإن المجلة ستستقبل الأبحاث الأصلية - والمكتوبة باللغة العربية - ابتداءً من تلك التي تبحث في الأسس النظرية للحوسبة ووصولاً إلى نماذج ومناهج وطرائق التصميم والصيانة لتطبيقات الحاسوب. وتنقسم الأوراق المقدمة إلى ثلاثة أنواع

أوراق الأبحاث: وهي التي تحتوي على أبحاث نظرية أو تطبيقية في مجال الحوسبة ، وتخضع للمعايير التقليدية للمنشورات العلمية ، من حيث الاهمية والأصالة والجودة
أوراق استطلاعية: وهي عادة ما يكتبها خبير في أحد مجالات الحوسبة للإبلاغ عن أحدث وأهم التطورات فى مجال معين. وتعنى الأوراق الإستطلاعية بالقراء الذين لديهم بعض المعرفة في مجال البحث، وتخضع هذه الأوراق للمعايير التقليدية لمثيلاتها، مثل التغطية الشاملة، وعمق التحليل، والمصداقية والوضوح
أوراق تعليمية ، وهي عادة ما يكتبها خبير في مجال معين من مجالات الحوسبة بهدف تعريف هذا المجال لجمهور عام من القراء قد لا يكون بالضرورة على علم مسبق به. وتخضع جميع الأوراق التعليمية لمعايير مثل سهولة القراءة والوضوح والمصداقية

تشمل اهتمامات المجلة جميع مجالات الحوسبة، بما فيها

الذكاء الاصطناعي بما في ذلك النظم الخبيرة، ومعالجة اللغات الطبيعية ، والشبكات العصبية
نظم الحاسبات وتشمل هندسه الأنظمة، وتفاعل الإنسان والحاسوب، والاعتمادية
تطبيقات الحاسوب وتشمل المعلوماتية الحيوية ، والهندسة الطبية الحيوية
اتصالات الحاسوب، الأنظمة المُوَزَّعة، والوسائط المتعددة

ويجب أن تكون جميع الاوراق المقدمة مكتوبة باللغة العربية كما يجب تقديم عنوان الورقة والخلاصة باللغة الانكليزية ، وذلك لغرض فهرسة المواد في الفهارس العالمية للمنشورات

Scope and Aim of the Journal of Computer Science and Engineering, in Arabic.

The aim of the Journal of Computer Science and Engineering in Arabic is to provide a forum for the interchange of ideas, opinions, and research results between computer science scholars, researchers, educators and practitioners who wish to use Arabic as a communication medium. The Journal will use, and evolve, an ongoing lexicon of Arabic terms, expressions, and idioms, to reflect the evolution of the field of computing, and the concurrent evolution of the Arabic language as it endeavors to remain relevant as a medium for scientific and technical communication. More generally, the Journal envisions to establish a tradition of scientific discourse in Arabic, at the same time as it endeavors to serve its Arabic speaking readership by keeping them abreast of recent developments in the field of computing and helping to nurture an Arabic speaking knowledge society.

To fulfill its mission, the Journal seeks original papers in Arabic, ranging from theoretical foundations of computing to models, methods and techniques for the design, development and maintenance of computing applications. Submissions fall into three categories:

1. Research papers, which report on theoretical or applied research in the field of computing, and are subject to the traditional criteria for research publications, in terms of relevance, originality, and quality.

2. Survey papers, which are typically written by an expert in a field of computing to report on the most recent, most relevant developments of a specific field. Survey papers are typically intended for readers who have some familiarity with the field, and are subject to the traditional criteria for such papers, such as exhaustiveness, synthetic depth, credibility, and clarity.

3. Tutorial papers, which are typically written by an expert in a specific field of computing to introduce this field to a general audience that does not necessarily have prior knowledge of it. Tutorial papers are subject to criteria such as readability, clarity, and credibility.

The scope of the journal covers all areas of computing, including:

• Artificial Intelligence (including expert systems, natural language processing, neural networks)

• Computing Systems (including systems engineering, human computer interaction, dependability)

• Computing Applications (including bioinformatics, biomedical engineering)

• Computer Communications, Distributed Systems, and Multimedia
